Add dry spices to a bowl and mix together to make the cajun dry rub. Place chicken into a bowl and season on all sides with the spice mixture.
Cover chicken and set aside to marinate for 20 minutes. (Optional)
Add one cup of chicken broth to the inner pot and insert the trivet or steamer basket into the instant pot.
Place the chicken legs into the trivet and cover with ½ cup of barbecue sauce. Place the lid on the Instant Pot and turn the valve to “sealing.”
Set the Instant Pot to the manual setting and set the cook time to 12 minutes then allow it to naturally release 8 minutes. After 8 minutes, quick release the remaining pressure.
Remove chicken legs from the Instant Pot and place on a foil lined baking sheet. Use a basting brush to coat the chicken legs with the remaining barbecue sauce.
Place chicken in the oven under the broiler for about 4-5 minutes. Remove chicken from the oven, serve and enjoy!
